National Environment Mela 2022 was held at the Ayub National Park on Saturday, March 19, 2022. It aimed to raise awareness about protecting the environment. It was held after a gap of two years due to COVID-19. Brig (Retd) Muhammad Asif Akhtar, Director General Army Heritage Foundation, and Mr. Irshad Ramay, Coordinator NCPC, inaugurated the event. They also planted a tree. It was organized by the National Cleaner Production Centre (NCPC), and was attended by lots of students from the twin cities. These students on their respective stalls displayed different models depicting awareness for preserving the Earth’s green house. The traditional natural colours of mela were portrayed by performances and activities on the stage such as singing, debates and tableaus etc.
