Activities Held In 2022
Ayub Park holds various activities for public interest and awareness. People from all walks of life and every income group come and participate in these activities. These activities include public awareness campaigns, festivals, exhibitions, sports events etc. Some activities held so far in 2022 are:
PLANTATION BY SIMPLICITY TECHNOLOGIES
A massive plantation was carried out in the Maple garden of Ayub Park on 29th March 2022. Participants were from S-tech a notable software house from Twin Cities.
NCPC ENVIRONMENT MELA
National Environment Mela 2022 was held at the Ayub National Park on Saturday, March 19, 2022. It aimed to raise awareness about protecting the environment. It was held after a gap of two years due to COVID-19. Brig (Retd) Muhammad Asif Akhtar, Director General Army Heritage Foundation, and Mr. Irshad Ramay, Coordinator NCPC, inaugurated the event. They also planted a tree. It was organized by the National Cleaner Production Centre (NCPC), and was attended by lots of students from the twin cities. These students on their respective stalls displayed different models depicting awareness for preserving the Earth’s green house. The traditional natural colours of mela were portrayed by performances and activities on the stage such as singing, debates and tableaus etc.
HERITAGE FESTIVAL
A family festival was held at Ayub Park Cricket Stadium on 11th, 12th and 13th March 2022. Stalls of various categories were set up offering quality food and other items. Lots of families enjoyed the festival. Performers like Abrar ul Haq and Khumarian were also the main attractions.
DOG SHOW – ROTTWEILER CATEGORY
Dog show was held in the Sports Complex of Ayub Park on 27th Feb 2022. Only dogs of Rottweiler category were allowed. The best dogs were given prizes.
AAA ASSOCIATES – KAMYAB JAWAN PROGRAM
A job marathon was held at Topi Rakh Complex by AAA Associates under the umbrella of Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan Program. The event started on 29th Jan 2022.
FOUNDATION UNIVERSITY – MOU
An MOU was signed between Ayub Park and Foundation University on 5th Jan 2022.
